    I would like to see ORE(rock) in the offical verion that way it could be seen on all the different mods

    Yeah  It would. what about that property of qrtz that grows? would this be added into rock?

     I don't think that it should, because natural quartz is made of crystals, which grow over time, but rock is not.

     It would still have the same properties as rock, plus naming it coke could create (possibly) a copyright problem, and/or a lot of unhappy players thinking that it was actually cola.

    coke is not made from ore.  it is made from coal and used as fuel in the smelting process.

    ^^ that. I'd just call it ore.

    oh also, this could probably be thrown into a lua script quite easily. I'll take a look and get back to you on that...
