This got better replies than the old suggestions that suggest the same thing. On the old ones it was like

    "PIPE and STOR"!

    "Creativity with PROT"

    "Creativity with E-WALL!"

Honestly this idea would be great maybe I will add it to my mod

It could also be used for some sort of trap, I guess.

A-ha! I finally worked it out (8 days late, admittedly).
I was looking through my old saves when I saw this:

Look inside the fuel area in between the two cylinders - PRTI/O ensures fuel can only travel one way (fire used to get through the liquid only wall - this was the solution I came up with).
Essentially, one way can be achieved with a much less bulky setup than a 4x4 wall:
    PRTI-PRTO
    PRTI-PRTO
2x2 grid ensuring 1 way travel of particles.

Actually, fire still does get through liquid only wall (then stopped by my one way setup) - can someone attempt to fix this? I assume it's to do with the way it updates each frame, but still, there must be some way to improve it?

Please don't post on old threads unnecessarily, it is against the rules. If you want to, you can make a new topic.

Anyways, just use portals, PIPE+STOR, or use a gas wall in between the steam and condensation area.
