267 with no FPS cap on blank screen.

    40 - 30 FPS with 40,000 particles.

    23 - 20 FPS with > 40,000 particles.

    Have an 8 core AMD.

I bought a cheap little piece of junk for the time being until I can get a better custom computer and it runs fairly decent.
I think the stats are the same as what jenn4 stated. It runs pretty slow but what is one to expect with a $700 dollar computer? D:

Its not that super. I am getting something similar with a custom build *scratches head* soon. (?)
Didn't I make a thread about it? Eh it is a bit costly but if you really like a fast computer custom builds are the way to go.

I feel a bit unsure on when I will actually get around to ordering all of those parts though... I have completely misused the word soon. =[

My laptop was around 600 or so and it handles TPT with ease.

    TAKE THAT

    intel i7 2700K overclocked to 4.4Ghz (4.7 for benchmarks)

nvidia geforce gtx680 (i know its not realted with tpt but... :P)

    u jelly?

tpt used to loop through all the particles, even if they didn't exist, so my FPS used to be 35-45 at best on an empty screen. I know what it feels like. Right now though, I get 60 fps, and 18 with a full screen of diamond (20 in real tpt).

Theoretically, if your computer was so fast that it got thousands of fps, the game would be so laggy it would be unplayable, the fps limiter would try to limit the fps much longer than for one second...
