Developers, please put back in Inf temps!

    Maybe it was a bug originally, but the +/- Inf and the NaN effects were quite useful. I really think it should be added back in, even if it was originally a bug. It allows for some interesting effects. NaN (due to the fact that it wasn't a number) automatically set everything else in contact with it irreversably to NaN, and the behavior of some substances when the temperature was NaN was quite interesting. Please re-implement this "bug" (if that's what you insist on calling it).

    Agreed! Add it back, at least as an option, I enjoyed it so much when I set ambient heat on and did "set blah temp 1e100" and set whole cities on fire

    It's a bug... and from reading other threads I would say that (a) developer(s) isn't/aren't a big fan of bugs, and they/he would rather implement something deliberately for it to happen.

    Remember the invisible bug? We now have a deco layer that can simulate a very wide range of colours, very useful for a lot of things. Or would you rather rely on bugs just to make things black?

    Well maybe now that they know about it, and have officially declared it as a bug, and removed it as a bug, then can now put it back in and call it a feature so that they can advertise their program as having no bugs.

    NaN = Not a Number.
    Not a Number = Not real.
    Not real = Not a feature.
    This logic is sound.

    There isn't really a point to it anyway. I mean, other then impressing people with how the temperature of the DMND block cannot be made without the console, does anything need to absolutely be infinity degrees Celsius?

    There is a point of doing it, and quite a few people agree. Notice the number of replies I got from others saying "agreed".
    It is uber cool and can make fantastically impressive things happen. NaN is like wacked hyperspace quantum who knows what it does, effects. It should be put back in along with +/- infinity. Anyone who says otherwise is just a nay sayer and a party pooper. And I have confidence that the number of people who replied to me with "agreed" will influence the developers in my favor.

    If you can show me a save that uses it and absolutely needs it, that is not just some random laser that you want at a higher temperature, then you can say that there's a point. Otherwise all you're arguing for it to be put in is "It looks neat. Put it back in." without listing any actual uses whatsoever.
