Post any bugs you find here. But there aren't as many bugs that are really bugs and I don't already know about than when this first started, so also use this as a general conversation save, or to ask / tell me anything. #1 most commented save in tpt!

Yus but the inefficeint piece of shoftware has extra numbers crunching up in areas which don't require anything at all... Giving it a much larger memory size. If it wasn't terrible designed then it would only be around 13-16 Kilobytes...
-
Did you know that the entire internet's weight, in electrons, is about as heavy as a strawberry?
-
explosivepowder: btw, 2048 bytes is 2 KB, not 2 MB. 2 MB is also kind of absurd, considering the save limit is 3 MB :P
-
explosivepowder: so there is no reason to argue about the size limit, it isn't because of some kind of thing where "omg each character takes up 10000 bytes" or anything. It's because I made the sign textbox a little wider and set the character limit to the average number of characters that fit in that box.
-
DoritosTaco: I noticed, I might try adding some kind of thing to the site to prevent it. Also maybe jacksonmj dealt with it since he was active at the time. explosivepowder: if people aren't going to bother to read the text in *any* of the methods you described, they aren't going to read it when directly in signs either. Also like I said, the number of bytes has *nothing* do with why I put the limit where I put it.I made the limit what it is because that is how many characters fit in the textbox

Even a one color pixel screen could do that - it would only take 25 bits for each charactor (if you look at the typerighter on second/third page, it has a 5x5 screen (the extra bottom layer appears to only be for the machines system to work with - it appears to have an extra spark) - and if you assume each pixel is one bit, than thats just 25 bits per letter/number/symbol/whatever)
-
and if 16 bits is too hard to reduce it too, even 32 bits - A 32 bit screan designed for it could easily display any number or letter or even symbol with certain bits activated to activate the assosiated rod.
-
Also, Even then, If thats too much for some reson, you could always reduce all the charactors down to 16 bits. or less.
-
if the charactors each took up a byte, than, I'm pretty sure that you can AT LEAST bump it up to 64 signs and 32 charactors each. I mean, 64 * 32 = 2048 charactors and thats only 2 megabytes... Im pretty sure basically every system has like 3-4 Gigabytes of memory... And 2 MB is nowhere near ONE gig. (in fact, im pretty sure thats less than 5 sixteenths)

@jacob1 But if i use the forums, half the people viewing the save wont see it! This is because alot of people use the build in save browser! And comments can simply get wiped if enough other comments get posted (or pushed back so many pages noone would bother) And alot of people simply don't read the description.
