Saves get to front page because people click them. The rules against art on FP just mean "don't be surprised if your save is taken off if it's art", because the people making the art have no control over whether or not the save makes it to FP. -

@powderskye, It's because people are braindead and would rather spend their time looking at "cool stuff" than developing a good sense of appreciation ,and good judgement. As a result, people are litterally catapulting art of most any kind straight into the face of FP. Not many people would still even recognize that there ARE written rules about art on FP which for a few times have been taken to action. -

Now I understand why people hate art on FP. People spend hours on complex electronics, and then an art save takes the FP slot. Not bad, though. -
