The added pressure is +0.50 for every whole degree the temp is above [59.86 + 2P] C \ [333.01 + 2P] K.

OIL turns into self-pressurised OIL of P = +256.00, at P ≥ +5.50 and T ≥ +571.86 C \ T ≥ 845.01 K.

If self-pressurised OIL's pressure level drops to ≥0.50 below the equation self-pressure level (due to a lower surrounding pressure), then the pressure returns to that level. This process repeats over and over, if the surrounding pressure is still below the OIL's pressure. This is seen by the OIL's self-pressure value oscillating quickly.

OIL can be formed with [[Element:NEUT|neutrons]](NEUT) and [[Element:NITR|Nitroglycerin]](NITR) in contact with each other.

Oil is a light flammable liquid, which evaporates to gas at low pressure or high temperature. Floats on top of many liquids such as water or liquid oxygen but sinks through soap and diesel.

Creation

Hydrogen and diesel reaction in the presence of a platinum catalyst:

The same reaction works without platinum if hydrogen is above 8.0 pressure (diesel has to be at lower pressure to avoid detonation):

at over 7 pressure and 200C, and in the presence of platinum: WTRV.png + BCOL.png -> OIL.png

Reactions

Oil can be transformed to gas at normal conditions by attacking it with neutrons:

Examples

This save shows how to achieve a difficult HYGN + DESL reaction without PTNM.
This save shows an example of catalytic hydrogenation of DESL to form OIL.
