Game of Life (GoL) Particles?

From what I've heard on the IRC this type of particle emulated on TPT would be possible.
...But the thing is, what use would GoL particles have in Powder Toy? :O
I'm thinking they could be used like Stickman, and produce Spark in metal on touch.
Would they collide with solids?
Would they be affected by heat? Velocity/Pressure? :O
I want opinions. Lots of them, any ideas. Something that would be a mechanic for an entirely different cellular automata within Powder Toy, that would actually make its existence useful besides being neat. -
maybe a generic organism [ORGM] that gives off a pulsing spark that lasts only 5 seconds after contact with conductur multiplies in distilled water since it would conduct in water. stick and grow on wood. slightly flammable. color : purple . they might have little poop droplets of acid. (by the way they arent effected by acid) the acid as poop because some organisms ( not many) acually secret acid! how does that sound catelite?

The particles will adhere to the rules for Conway's Game of Life, meaning they'll be mostly chaotic dots moving around in predictable ways.
I'm thinking ways of making just plain GoL particles acting as if they're still in their own setting, react productively in PTP. Adding a death timer for five seconds might be counterproductive. Sticking to wood though @_@
Does wood have any useful functions besides being flammable? -
I like this particle idea, it would be easy to code also, problem is I am jam packed for 5 more weeks until football is over, so I might get a chance next Sunday, but not today.

I would love to be something as parasite of some sort , to start growing on anything you put it on and convert those elements into itself.
But it would be awesome if it didn't only grow and expand in the form of the things it touches , something like wild plant, the thing that grows in jungles and on old buildings , the green stuff Liana i think is called. It should start climbing up in a chaotic manner.
