    Well i found out this the hard way yesterday.When lava and water comes in contact it can be explosive.I was helping my dad sample some lava he put the lava in a bucket of water.This is what happened
    I had 3rd degree burns he told me this before i had a hazard suit on but it still got me he treated the 3rd degree burns it burned but i didnt cry :) I never cry.I was carrying the bucket of water.

    My tear ducts dryed up from all the heat along time ago but yes some lava got on my arm.

    Is this because of the immense heat causing the water to evaporate and get so hot it splits to hydrogen and oxygen?
