what does sse mean?

    hi guys i just wondered what the difference between sse, sse2 and sse 3 are. i'm sure its something obvious but i cant figure it out lol.

    SSE3 is the fastest you should use it.

    SSE is something to do with the processor. Try all three, if one doesn't work at all the others should.

    Ideally, one of them may run faster for you than the others.

    SSE= Streaming SIMD Extention. The higher the number the faster it is.

    SSE instructions tell the processor to take small shortcuts when processing data. Thats the simplest way I can put it :)
