    whenever i try to run the program i get the error:

    the procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.DLL


    i am running on windows 2000 any help?

    @samrules
    Here is the help: Get linux, Windows XP or higher, or a new PC. Windows 2000 can not run TPT so well.
    WS2_32.DLL is the winsock service to get to the server, if I am not mistaken. It was introduced into Windows XP service pack 1a.

    how to i get xp / linux without buying a completely new cp?

    Windows XP - you can buy a copy really cheap on E-Bay, alternatively you could pirate it.

    Linux - Go to www.ubuntu.com and follow the instructions.
