    btw, the box of hot powder that disappears is 9000 temp (ish) powder quartz inside of a solid-only box. When it becomes liquid it disappears, showing the odd scale of melting speed that quartz uses due to its slow heat conducting speed.

    Is there any way to separate the different colors of quartz? Maybe by temperature, or pressure changes melting point for the different colors?

    ...Yes. You have to erase and redraw the quartz particles over and over again, it's like 1/10 chance you get the one you want.


    Otherwise nope.

    Cracker reminded me to note also that unless a quartz particle is on the higher end of the random color spectrum, it'll turn white after you stamp it due to a glitch with the value used to make the speckles. It's been fixed in the latest code, though.
