The timeout is too short. I am not sure Simon has decided to change this yet.

Timeout is 10 seconds, if that's too short, there are problems with your internet connection, or something is firewalling the Powder Toy.

Some people have really lousy internet conntections. One single roundtrip can take several seconds.

Correction: The timeout is 15 seconds, not 10. I highly doubt it could take 15 seconds for a simple login.

This might be what it is, thank you. I'll look into that and the internal client error 600

    Hi,
I am new to PT and find it awesome as a sim software. However I found a problem trying to logging in to save a sim. Here is what I find:
    1) On issuing the login command I get: HTPP Error 404: Not Found. Dismiss. Obviously I always have to dismiss to close that window.
    2) The "untitled simulation" box at the bottom is greyed (same with the "no tags set" box). I believe this is because I cannot not login.
    3) Although the "find open a simulation" box is available (not greyed) I cannot find or retrieve any. Again, I believe this is because I could not login.
    For the record:
I am on GNU/Linux OpenSuse 11.3 and obtained PT from the OpenSuse repository using Yast2. Everything else works fine (except for a window issue that I posted under another topic).
    Thanks to all. Regards,
    GerM
