No Vote Mystery

Hi, about a week ago, I stumbled upon a save and you know how when you save a simulation and automatically get an upvote and it you can't unvote it? That particular save from 2011, id:328795, has no votes at all, not even an automatic vote. I wonder how was this possible? Anyone got a reason?

EDIT: Also, please don't vote this save, just keep it the way it is because that's the beauty of the mysteries of TPT.

There's a very specific historical reason for this.

Before 2011, by default saves had no votes. You still couldn't vote on your save. Simon decided to change it so the default is one vote instead of 0, and to do that he automatically added a vote to every single save from the author. Banned users were excluded from this, though. I don't know why he excluded banned users, there was no reason to.

So if you ever see a save from 2012 or before with no votes, it's from a perm banned user.

Another fun fact is that some old versions of TPT would crash whenever you searched for a save that had no votes. To fix this I upvoted those saves (new release with the fix wasn't released right away).

@jacob1 (View Post), thanks for the explanation, also, I think he excluded them because there would be no point to have a vote if the user is already banned along with unpublishing saves.
