TPT Crashed my computer

I was playing TPT and tested a bomb I made, and then got this error: https://imgur.com/a/Kjs0mke
The game froze and my desktop environment crashed (I'm on linux). I switched to the fullscreen terminal and tried to terminate the TPT process but nothing happened. The memory usage was about 16GB/32GB. The cpu was also hot. I had to reboot my computer to fix it. What happened?

    Info:
    TPT version: 96.2
    OS: Artix linux

You ran out of memory, but not before linux started swapping your processes out. Install earlyoom and possibly disable swap, if it's applicable for your system.

The memory exhaustion may or may not be caused by TPT. If you have UndoHistoryLimit cranked up really high, try setting it back to 5.

I have no swap file/partition. I have not changed UndoHistoryLimit or anything else in the config file. What is earlyoom?
