There are currently no plans to remove the dislike button, they are important for a multitude of reasons, mostly the front page algorithm and also giving proper feedback on what a "bad save" is.

Also, the main issue with haters tends to be the comments. Mass disliking happens, but usually by the people that are already leaving mass comments anyway. This would continue, and possibly get worse, if we removed the dislike. Overall save quality would also likely decrease.

The best thing you can do is to not worry about downvotes, consider if they serve as some kind of valid feedback. If you get constant negative comments by someone, or constant downvotes, let a mod know. But most of the time when I look into downvotes, I find no clear patterns.
