METH - Methanol
Characteristics:Color - RGB(255, 239, 138)
Description - "Methanol, can be used as a fuel."
Section - Gasses
Flame Temperature - 360C
Properties:
- Produces OIL when rapidly heated and cooled.
- METH mixed with ACID creates DESL.
- Corrodes METL and BMTL into BRMT.
- When burnt, WTRV and CO2 is formed.
- Produced when hot (500C) CO2 and HYGN mixes. If the temperature is above 600C, METH will not form. Note that carbon monoxide is really supposed to be used, but TPT doesn't have it.
- Denser than OXYG.
- Kills STKM, FIGH, and STK2.
Uses:
- Can be used as a method to create OIL and DESL.
- Can be used as a way to generate DSTW and CO2.
- An alternative fuel for engines that doesn't combust or condense/boil under pressure.
No, this isn't crystal meth. The element icon could be confusing to some users if it were added, so an abbreviation such as, "MTHO" could be used.

You could have it not break fusion by giving its formation a maximum temperature, above which it would not form. IRL, methanol breaks down above ~ 700 K or so into carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
