Oxygen change

    I think that oxygen should be changed slightly. Oxygen in TPT can burn all by itself, but in real life fire requires heat, fuel, and oxygen. I think oxygen should increase the size of fire, and the speed of the burning, as it does in real life. Oxygen could also make other materials more flammable and easier to ignite. I understand that The Powder Toy is not "real life", but I think that this change in oxygen should be integrated into it.

    Pure oxygen actually does burn SO GTFO! Well, it burns as long as it's contained.

    Not true, pure oxygen does not burn. It increases the level of combustion. Fire is oxidation, but you can't oxidize pure oxygen, which is why you need a fuel source to be oxidized. A simple explanation.

    ...Have you ever wondered how oxygen tanks say "Extremely flamable"? It's because if contained it will burn.

    Yes I know what the difference in real life and powder toy is, but many people including myself would like it to be more realistic. I didn't say make fire only happen when oxygen is around, I just want oxygen to increase the level of combustion.

    Yes I have wondered that, and the reason is 1: if it is punctured the oxygen will rush out so quickly it can generate enough heat to ignite anything around it. And 2: the high level of oxygen makes anything burn much faster.

    I'm not sure if the 1st point is true, but it can happen and if anything is under enough pressure it will explode, such as popping a balloon.

    Wikipedia:
    Steel pipes and storage vessels used to store and transmit both gaseous and liquid oxygen will act as a fuel;

    you are right, but pilojo is also right

    pilojo:
    it burns as long as it's contained.

    According to wikipedia, steel can be the fuel, and wikipedia is fairly reliable.

    On the other hand...

    Finalflash50:
    Powder toy: Yes
    Real toy: gtfo

    EDIT:

    Oh, and by the way, nice TRIPLE post. Idiot.
