Tape Measure - New Tool
Characteristics:
It has the icon of a tape measure.
Tooltip: “Tape measure, use it to measure distances.”
To use, you click a point, move your mouse in the direction you want it to go (x, y, diagonal) and click again to create the other point, or you can move your mouse in the direction and type in a value (ex: 20px) to create the second point.
It can be enabled and disabled by a tab in the top right side with the letter M. It would be labeled “Tape Measures”. If off, it would hide all tape measures in the save.
Properties:
It would look like a dotted line between two points.
You can hover on each tape measure to select them to see their length, or click them and press backspace to delete them.
You can also deco the tape measures by clicking on them with the deco tool; they have a default color of white.
Tape measures persist even when a save is published or updated.
When making a new tape measure near to another one, the first point will snap to the closest point (optional).
Uses:
Precise measurements of distances in a save.
