Currently, I am trying to create a nuclear power plant that takes water from the ocean, so in this case, saltwater. I am attempting to do this because I am also creating a saltwater purifier for my nuclear power plant, so I could demonstrate that saltwater is an efficient resource to be turned into water for nuclear power plants. While I am trying to do this, I also need to include a water gate that can be manually operated by opening and closing. Unfortunately, when I open the water gates for the saltwater to enter the purifying system, the saltwater gets constantly sparked as well as the ocean from the water gates being activated by electricity. I know this kind of sounds like a stupid question, but since there's no other choice that I can think of, how do you prevent saltwater from getting sparked whilst entering a water gate that conducts electricity? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance I am really hoping to get my nuclear power plant & saltwater purifier ASAP (my fingers need a rest).
What are you using for gates? Could you switch to a PSTN gate?
@Matera_the_Mad, I am using e-wall for my gate which is probably a bad idea, and @dog2, I'm slightly perplexed, can you give me an id with an example of what you demonstrated?
I just thought of something else: why not use PPIP? You could use a small block as a gate, and use PIPE for the rest so you don't have a bunch of salt water accumulating in your pipe.
Here is the INVS idea:

The pump only pressurizes 3 pixels of INVS. You could make this 6 by putting a pump on the bottom, or possibly increasing the pressure of the pump
Use piston gates, no electric mishaps!
use pstn, problem solved
JUST USE PISTONS! sorry for caps lock
