There's an option in the mod menu to disable the mod elements. Also, there's no change made to any reaction from the base game for the sole purpose of maintaining compatibility with players from other versions of the game.

You can still play tptmp with mod elements disabled and everything will work just fine for everyone.

is there a way to make a bomb that only cracks stuff it touches instead of just going kaboom?

So you want something in between Black flame and BOMB?

Something which destroys a particular element but not everything.

I can't remember any element at the moment that does that but you can try making your own version of bomb that does the thing. You can use powered CONV in combination with other elements and device a mechanism for that.

What possible uses can you list for this tool other than the already existing cyclone tool?

I don't think it would be fun.

I am working on a somewhat similar tool btw for the final release.

Ver.60.0 update is now rolling out!

    Changes

    Update version to v98.0
Add esc key shortcut to close texter
Add launch stats to extra hud
New tool: LEVI (Levitates particles depending upon brush strength)
Update tptmp script to latest version

    From master branch:
Fix gravity zones not being drawn in some cases.
Fix element search window showing wrong element descriptions.
Fix local saves being sorted Z-A instead of A-Z
Fix some label cutoff and component overlap bugs
Fix panels forwarding clicks from anywhere
Fix renderer crashing due to SimulationData not being instantiated early enough
Fix save history button not working except on your own saves
Move unlisted stamps to the back
Limit saves with ETRD with .tmp or .tmp2 set and Resist to 98.0
Add limit onto various textboxes, now that textbox width no longer artificially limits it

With this update the mod once again matches the current stable release that is v98.0. Loading and publishing saves should work fine now.

Although I am still active in the community but it's getting harder for me to maintain the mod these days. I will try my best to solve any issue/ bug that arises by releasing a minor update sometime later if needed, but it might be the last major update for the mod.

I have made the process of releasing updates way more organised so if anyone wants to take over and contribute you are more than welcome to keep the modding community in this game alive.

I would also like to thank all the contributors of this mod and also @Jacob1 for helping with this particular update.

    Changes

A performance build is also available for download below (only for win64), you can try it out if you want. Note that it might just not work at all on some systems. Use at your own risk. The default updater and the updater in this build will still download the msvc builds as usual.
