Did the servers just go down?

    Did they go down, or was it just me?

    The server goes down at random times. It's been that way for the last month or two, but we're trying to determine a solution to the issue. We know what's wrong, but we don't know where and how to fix the problem right now. Apologies, remain patient, and we'll get to the root of the problem soon!

    The server goes down for a few minutes several times a day. This is "normal" and I have no ability to fix it. It is an issue with the website configuration. When it happens, just try again after a few minutes.

    Just an issue with the website configuration. Some processes on the server hang, causing the site to stop responding. If I knew exactly what the cause of the problem was, I would have told Simon how to fix it. I did some searching and playing around with some config values could help, but I don't have the ability to do that and there's no guarantee it would actually fix the problem.

    This was also a problem several years ago, it was much worse then. I say "multiple times a day" now, but most days it doesn't actually go down. Back then it was many times a day.

    So lets say 10 minutes of downtime a day (probably an overestimate), that's only 0.7% downtime.

    It is a problem, but it isn't too severe ...

     I remember those times even though I wasn't a user in 2011. They still happened in 2012, if memory serves me correctly. The game crashed in 2015, or so and everyone panicked because some saves could of been lost and possibly corrupted.

    I've never caught it when it's happening, it's very difficult to pin down what causes this.

    You're right, this used to be an issue a while back, and I fixed the issue, but this is a different error after we moved the server.
