I remembered an older game, similar to TPT, called "The powder game" by danball (i am sure you guys have heard about it)
It had a display mode called "Light" which would simply make the entire screen black with the exception of stickmen and any lightsource. That means, lasers, fire and lava for that game.
For TPT, we could play with this even better, given that its not a browsergame and that we have far more options.
Like, you could build cities that are now illuminated by lamps (could be made with electricity or with stuff like Plutonium to have an eerie glow) also, activate that mode and detonate a nuke. It would look awesome.
Yes, I've played this game and I'd like to see this in TPT too.
Also, light sources should have extra glow effect and radioactive stuff should create weak light too.
Try out this:
- Type this command in console: tpt.getscript(1, "autorun.lua", 1)
- 81st script is jacob1's Custom Render Mode Loader, download it.
- Go to Render mode editor (first button on left of pause button)
- Change it how you like
- hold Shift+[number] for 1.5 seconds
- next time you just click Shift+[number] the render mode will be loaded
Hey, I've actually been wondering about this for a while. OmegaDeltaZero, as much as that helps, it didn't really answer the idea. The idea was to add a new effect. As much as I like having my own custom render modes, we still can't us a dark/light display. The display would make it so you can only see drawn objects if there is a light source, or a veiw point. Any idea where I could find something like that?
