I'm trying to make a beam of red photons, but I have 2 problems.

    1. THE FILTER WON'T STAY HOT ENOUGH TO BE RED!

    and

    2. The photons keep escaping!!

    What do I do?

    1. Build a heaters. The best solution is to use the life. If you make a line of GOL (3pix width), it will make a loop, which will very fast heat everything. Then connect life loop to your FILT, so it will stay at about 8500*C.

    2. Build thicker walls? 3 pixels should be enough. You can change some walls to VOID, so the additional photons will be absorbed.

Open the console (press the ~ key, two keys above CAPS LOCK). Type in !set ctype filt 0x20000000. Close the console by pressing ~ again. Enjoy your cake.

Yes, you can set its ctype to change the colour of FILT.

    I want some cake too!
