TPT in Ruby?

Would it be possible to use something like RICE (https://github.com/jasonroelofs/rice,https://www.amberbit.com/blog/2014/6/12/calling-c-cpp-from-ruby/) to make a copy of TPT in Ruby for development? I'm not familar with C and I've been learning Ruby the last few months. To me it doesn't sound feasible, I'm sure there's a lot more that goes into what I'm imagining. I figured I'd ask though, it would be really cool if that's possible.

would be slow... but we can use Ruby scripts as alternative to Lua mods!

That would be a fantastic developement! Do you have any idea how you could go about doing something like that?

Also, why would it inhernetly be slow? Is it beacuase Ruby has to "translate" because of it's syntax? Would Ruby ever be practically useful for a game or visual simulation?

TPT doesn't support ruby as a scripting language, only Lua. It's something that could be added, but I don't know Ruby, and I don't think any of the other people that have ever done TPT development do either.
