I'm compiling with visual studio. It compiles but when it runs it gives the following error:

Exception thrown at 0x77666D39 (ntdll.dll) in Powder.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x00000014.

What version of visual studio are you using?

Did you just use the premade project?

Have you tried debug, release, and static builds? (maybe one will work but the others won't)

Well VS 2015 doesn't run at all so I don't know how you got it to start. Do you also have VS 2013 installed? Since that would allow you to start it potentially. I haven't even gotten to that step yet, I will try to fix VS 2015 support tonight.

V2013 has same error suprisingly

I updated the guide to support vs 2015 now: https://powdertoy.co.uk/Wiki/W/Compiling_tpt%2B%2B_with_Visual_studio.html

I recompiled all the libraries in vs 2015, and updated the project files with all the new files.
