I'm really new to TPT and I just want to know how to create a simple nuclear reactor. Remember, I am new to the game so if you could explain to me where the elements that you talk about are located, it would be appreciated.

Use menu with "radiation warning", its located near star on the bottom right of screen. Uran heats if you add air, deut exploding heating if you add neut or prot, note that prot can penetrate almost everything,  plut heats if you add neut, exot have a few useful features, elec can make from water oxygen and hydrogen, iszs and isoz decay into fotons at negative pressure. Vibr and bvbr stores energy and donr give it back, if started flashing its going to explode. Anti-mater destroy everything and sing too... so,yeah.. Oh, and yeah, use game wiki, button right at the top of the site! Also wrong subforum

Why does everyone like nukes and reactors so much? It's just stupid, as TPT's save servers are literally overflowed by these "COol NUklE213473434634"-type posts.

Reactors are really fun to build.  figuring out how to contain, control, and utilize the reaction is interesting.  You can incorporate a lot of features with sensors and electronics.  they are interactive usually.

I do not make nukes but I imagine those that do feel similar about how to best utilize the materials.

I started out with a URAN reactor and added features to it when I became more experienced and when features became available. That was when powder still was adding a lot of new things though. Try looking into a BWR design. They are typically the best type to start off with.

There are a huge number of options depending on the level of compactness, complexity and destructibility you are aiming for. From a single BTRY pixel to advanced fusion reactors like those made by JonaHungary.
