    yes it's simple.

    1. falling down.

    2. if something(even if it is 1 px of dust) is blocking it stop

    3. not rotate

    4. acts like wall

    5. acts like powder

ummm..... I think it will be easier then moving solid...

    acts like

    NNwwNN

    NNwwNN

    NNNNNN

    NNNNNN

    to

    NNNNNN

    NNNNNN

    NNwwNN

    NNwwNN

N is none, w is powder wall

I'm not sure this is a good idea. It seems a little strange and would be hard to code. TPT is a particle physics game, the particles are not attached to one another and don't move together. It would definitely be easier here since it can only ever be a few particles that are attached ... but if we added this people would want us to make more complete moving solids at any size.

oh, I didn't say it dosen't have to attatch to another 'wall'.

which mean, it is just 4 * 4 sized powder.

I wanted to make 'Steam engine' with piston(https://powdertoy.co.uk/Browse/View.html?ID=1737429).

but I cannot find element that is moveable and block pressure, and work like fine piston.

    so I posted this.

    @sandwichlizard ummmm... not 'moveable'...

Use a piston with frames. The closest thing to moving solids we will get in the offical version of TPT.

I hate PSTN (and FRME), unless it is being used in electronics. It's one of those elements that ends up surviving when everything else explodes.

This is a good idea. I think, by now, it's pretty much burned into everyone's mind that moving solids will not be added, but I don't really consider this a moving solid, any more than a piston mover is a moving solid. This is basically a PSTN mover that is invincible and is controlled by physics rather than the player.

hmm. @jacob1 well you could have particles moving relative to a master particle. Like the ball element in jacob1's mod. Therefore elements could easily move together. The problem if a group of elements is present it'll be nearly possible to rotate.

The block element might be better, since it's a square (squares are better :)

Programming it wouldn't be hard (but new code would have to be written since it's not like anything else in the game)

Normal elements could treat it like a 4x4 square of indestructable particles, and it would just move 1 pixel down (or whatever direction gravity/pressure pushes it) if nothing was below it. (like EQVE I guess)
