TPT very low fps on Mac

    I'm playing on a ME294, here's specs:

    i7 4850HQ

    16Gigs of RAM

    GT750m GPU

     

    I'm having really low fps, like 10-12 on an empty tpt window. In windows with same system, I got 50-60 fps. Is that happening because of me? I don't want to play in Windows.

    Which version of OS X are you using?

    I've never seen any unnatural slowness when testing it in my mac vm, but I have only used it minimally (just running it to make sure it runs ...)

    Does it only happen after you leave it open for some amount of time? Or only after you do some certain thing?

    I'm using El Capitan right now, But I had same issues when I was using public releases(playing since Mavericks)

    It might do that if you are using Large Screen mode. Apparently there's some weird bug in that.

    A long time ago there was, that is fixed now. There still might be a small difference (or huge difference if you remove the fps cap), but you probably wouldn't notice while a save is running. Edit: just tested, got like 22.5 fps vs. 23fps on a save. Maybe somewhat noticeable :P
