This has nothing to do with The Powder Toy and it'll have common sense.
Life in the universe? this has been the question for centuries by scholar's and scientist. If there is life it would probably, change the way we look at the universe. Humanity is like the new kid next door while others some have already moved alway from there original planet.
Err... Okay? This is a really controversial topic about life in the universe.
Warning! Opinions ahead!
I'm just going to say that yes, life does exist in the universe in other places other than Earth. Since the Universe is so vast, thinking that we are alone is plain ignorant. Weather or not advanced life exists is a totally different topic. I just said what I think, if you disagree, don't rage, you'll only make your point illegitamate.

Already assuming that life exists else where in the universe is just as ignorant as saying that life doesn't exist on other planets in the universe, you assume that there's life on other planets - so where's the evidence to support your statement? If you have a solid evidence to support your statement, then say it. It doesn't mean that there's hundreds and thousands of alien worlds out there, doesn't mean that there's life - there's always a small chance that it won't be true, and were just alone in the universe, doomed to exist until we wipe ourselves out because were a bunch of ignorant f*cks unless we changes our ways and stop killing each other, but back to the main topic.
You should seriously reconsider your statement, science doesn't work that way where you just say "there might be millions of habitable worlds in our universe that might even harbour alien life!", no, you have to find evidence of life on alien worlds first - always assuming something without collecting evidence (yes, I know there's evidence of life on alien worlds, but we need more evidence) for it is just plain stupid, a quote from most rocket scientists:
"Always assume that a rocket will explode, no matter how much R&D you spent on it, there is always a chance that it will explode, no matter how small the chances are."
And in the case of such a topic:
"Don't assuming that there will be alien life on planets across our universe, no matter how big the chances are, there's still a small chance of it not happening."
I know most of you might assume astronomy and science are sort of a more Atheistic and secular thing, but to be honest I recommend searching verses from the Qur'an and see if anything that may suggest extra-terrestrial life is in there. After all, that book is famous for holding countless modern scientific statements for over 2000 years with out our interest and I guarantee you'll find something. In fact, I'll look, too. You can just look it up on internet, because of course I'm saying buy the actual thing >.< but there is a possibility it wasn't mentioned that often because I guess it wont benefit us knowing except to keep researching out of pure curiosity.
Hm. I guess you're right. I never thought of it like that.
BUT I STILL WON'T CHANGE MY OPINION LOLOLOLOL.
However bacterial life has been found in other places other than Earth and the chances are still high that life exists. Just because chances are low it doesn't mean it's not true. It MIGHT exist just as much as it MIGHT NOT exist.
I jusst like to think it does :3
