Okay, what does powder toy really need?

I've been scrolling the feedback section, and there isn't really anything that could help powder toy specifically.

Firstly, let's consider the uses of powder toy.

    1.Electronics

    2.Cities

    3.Destructive/Nuclear material

    4. Lasers

Is there any problems or irritating stuff?

So the question is, what is specifically needed?

I'm thinking, but nothing really comes to mind.

This is just to help people concentrate on what's needed.

Well, its a good effort, but I don't think this thread is necessary. We have people working all the time on that question, and so far they've been doing a good job.

I saw a lot of suggestions that seemed nice, but didn't really change anything. So I thought this could help. *shrugs*

As I said, its a good thought. Its just that not everything suggested can be added. If it were that way, there would be lots of useless elements, broken saves, and other stuff of the sort.

TPT needs a C++ mod making tool. The devs should've thought of this I can't belive no one made one

There is this: http://boxmein.net/tptelements/#cpp (unsure how well it works but it is definitely a good reference)

I was once going to make a lua script that had sliders for properties and let you set it in game. I never finished it though.

    That would be really cool.

I mean a program that makes mods without compiling and all that stuff, it would automaticlly download, make a project, and compile for you I'll try to make one

The TPT compiling guides in the wiki are some of the easiest compiling guides you'll ever see ...

They give you downloads to working libraries, direct links to any programs needed, and the visual studio one even has a fully working project file.

So really no need for something that compiles tpt for you, but something that makes an element for you would be really nice.

if you want the element to do some specific things that can't be done in LUA,or take advantage of other C++ features, you'd kind of have to know the language. a tool to generate it for you wouldn't be much more useful than using LUA.
