Element Suggestion: Prop Solid

NOT WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE! Just figured i'd throw that out there before this is locked, i know the property ray is on the rejected elements list.

This is a solid that takes on properties of it's ctype- if it's ctype is salt, any water that touches it would become saltwater. if it's ctype is fire, it'll burn things.

wait this is a bad idea

why not just use the elements themselves. all i really wanted was solid salt

Oh yeah however then the prop would have to be localized for each particle

would that crush into SALT under preasure, and disolve into SLTW when exposed to water?

So basically, let's make a SOLID, LIQUID, GAS and ENERGY type element and just make a massive switch/case for all of them, judging what element they are? I agree aggregate states are handled weirdly in TPT, but some elements like EXOT effectively work around adding extra elements for different aggregate states.

Actually, a property ray is a really good idea - say, it sets the CTYPE of all particles in front of it to its CTYPE, etc., for every property. That would be extremely useful...

DRAY was added as a replacement for property ray, you can probably use it in some cases ...
I don't think we will actually add a property ray any time soon.

Also I don't think there is enough use for solid salt, maybe you could use the console to change salt into a solid though.
