How to record in GIF

I want to make a recording of Powder Toy, but as we all know, recording just spams a bunch of images into the main folder. I want to use a program of some sort that can both store the recording as a GIF, and runs it on a full 60 FPS (because I would also like to see realtime GIFs of explosions).

I downloaded FFMPEG, but it won't detect it despite it being properly installed into TPT. I am using an old script that allows you to autorun any script (given they are placed in a certain folder)...

It somewhy doesn't work with the autorun manager, just open your autorun.lua with a raw text editor and prepend "dofile("scripts/vireen.lua")" to it (assuming you named it vireen.lua).

Some useful resources and info on converting image sequences to video files here.

I doubt you can record TPT into a GIF because TPT uses more than 256 colours.

In the GIF format, each separate frame may use its own 256-color palette, which in practice works well enough.
