Using Floppy Diskette For Saves

I'm not sure what category this should go in, so I put it here. Thanks.

I like using floppy diskettes for small amount of information, such as essays for school or something similar. Even store a few picture. In this case I'd like to use one for when I save something to my computer from tpt. Now I can use a saves folder and copy them to the disk just fine, but I'd rather have it automaticaly save them onto the disk (So it thinks the disk is the normal saves folder). Simply renaming the disk doesn't work however. Anyone know if this would even be possible????

    Aren't those completely obsolete?

    Not the point.

This definitely isn't going to be added to tpt, so I guess you are on your own in figuring out how to do this or figuring out a less ancient storage method.

Saves are just stored in the current working directory, can you run programs off a floppy disk? that would work if you can.

    Floppy disks?
Laptops these days are missing CD drives, let alone floppy drives.....
    Move onto the 2k10s..

Also, I don't think there is a way to make TPT think the floppy drive is the saves folder.

As I recall, you can't split the folders, though you can always set up a synchronised folder...

Simple. Make a script that copies the stamps folder onto your floppy drive whenever ctrl + s is pressed.

If on linux, you can just mount the Saves/ folder as /dev/fd0

ddir command line option perhaps? That would cause everything to be saved in that location, including saves and stamps and probably preferences.
