TPT won't open.

A few days ago, I tried opening TPT, but the screen went black as if there was a bit of lag before opening, I waited about a minute and it still refused to load. Then, after about 1/2 an hour I checked again and the screen was still black. I tried pressing Alt+Tab, the start button, Alt+F4, F11, Alt+Enter, the power button and Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out of it and none worked, in the end I had to hold down the power button and restart the computer to get out of it. Now TPT still does this and I have found no way to open it yet.

However I do have a few clues on why it might have happened:

    1. I am using windows 8

    2. I installed Bullguard antivirus the day before.

    3. It was close to april fools dday when it happened.

If you know any possible solutions to this problem please tell me, thanks.

Simon and Co. wouldn't put in a gamebreaking glitch that involves a hard reboot for april fools day.

Are you running TPT in fullscreen? If so...

This. Some antivirus software has a tendency to mess with fullscreen applications.

    Remove powder.pref from TPT folder.

Thanks, removing powder.pref worked. But is there any way to use tpt in fullscreen without losing my stamps? Like disabling the feature of the antivirus that messes with fullscreen applications, or something similar?

There should be some kind of whitelist, exclusions or trusted\allowed applications list. Try adding TPT in them.

Yep, worked fine for me on April 1. I even changed my PC time to check!
