What's the effect of sand effect?

    If you have ever noticed, there's a small "P" on the right-top bar where you enable-disable things such as newtonian gravity, ambient heat...

     

    Well, as the title says... What's the effect of that? What does that button do? What's the effect... of sand effect?

    it adds a randomized color to powdered elements

    Although it's not like absolutely random color, it's just slightly randomized luminance.

    things like PQRT and CLST has a random color too.

    I try using the sand effect, and it does nothing. Does it need a particular powder to work with?. Nm, sand effect works for me now.
