how to download mods on TPT

So i recently found out about mods for TPT and i don't know how to play them. I press on the link of download and then i download it but when it's in my files i do not know what to do with it.

The process taken depends on what the modder's providing
Sometimes,the mod is a lua script.Threads with these mods usually have the original post have the code for the mod(such as here) or a pastebin link to it (such as here).In this case:
1.Copy and paste the code into a file such as Notepad
2.Save it as autorun.lua.If you're on Windows be sure to choose "All files" for "Save type as:"
3.Save file to same folder as TPT.
Sometimes,the mod has a download link to a folder with the .exe of the mod (such as here)In this case:
1.Click on link and get the files.
2.Save the files to anywhere you'd like (except maybe to the TPT folder).
3.Extract the files to anywhere you'd like.
Go to where the files were extracted to,and run the .exe.That's usually it (with these sorts of mods,you don't have to modify TPT itself to install them).
