unexpected behaviour of DMG

    DMG does some serious damage to breakable materials. But should it be that it creates pressure on particles up to 20 pixels away through a layer of WALL? I think this is a bug.

     

    I have prepared an example of the phenomenon:

     

    This save has been around for a while now. Is this a bug or a feature?

    Considering I pointed this out when dmg was first released, it either can't be fixed, or doing so will break many, many saves.

     

    They originaly confirmed to me that it was a bug; but they might decide to call it a feature now and cover themselves.

    I looked at the source, and found this: https://github.com/simtr/The-Powder-Toy/blob/master/src/simulation/elements/DMG.cpp#L53

    So basically, when DMG explodes, it searches around itself in a 25 pixel radius. I think this is sort of huge, i'm not sure why it does that. But according to the source, it really isn't a bug.

    Not that I think anyone changed it, whoever told me probably just didn't know.

    All this means is that DMG can't be trusted not to DaMaGe peoples machines.
