Help with Solid Filter

I am working on a project for which I need a filter. The filter needs to be able to separate molten TTAN from another substance. I have tried using pvod with a ctype of TTAN, but that didn't work. I also tried using STOR with a ctype of TTAN, but like I suspected, it failed in filtering the TTAN. Please help me! I need help ASAP!

Pretty much all molten things are detected as LAVA by STOR, PVOD, and everything else, rather than as the thing that has been melted (such as TTAN).

What's the other substance? Maybe you could try extracting that with STOR?

Or if they have different melting points you could use that to separate them.

The other substance is molten VIBR. Do you think that inserting a third liquid could separate the two of them?

Is it a vibr factory? Hmm.......yeah, you can use storage. Should be.....oh yeah, use lava. What's the other thing you need, exot? If it is exot, you are fine. Basically, any molten elements' ctype will be lava for things like storage. If it is not exot and is another molten element.....you got a predicament.

@Schneumer  STOR with a ctype of LAVA didn't work either... What do you mean when you say to use exot?

No, unfortunately not, because all molten materials have the same density at the moment.

    Two options:

    1. Use the difference in melting points. When cooled, molten TTAN solidifies at a higher temperature than molten VIBR. Cool the mixture enough to solidify the TTAN but not the VIBR. Then you can separate them. The tricky part is designing a machine that will let molten VIBR flow out after the TTAN solidifies, since the two will be mixed up and the TTAN might block some of the molten VIBR from flowing out.

    2. Assuming you're trying to use molten TTAN + EXOT -> molten VIBR, you could use lots of EXOT to make sure that all the molten TTAN turns to molten VIBR, then you just have to separate molten VIBR from EXOT, which is much easier.

@jacksonmj I'll try that out, thanks!
