hello, sorry, I am pretty sure this is a bug, but whenever I mouse over filter, in the top right corner, it says:"FILT(set colour)", not "FILT(RED)" or something. Any help?

like (RED)  means the block of colour

which shows what colour the FILT is

Nah the () means which "mode" it's on.
TMP 0 = "set colour" -- sets PHOT to its own colour
TMP 1 = "AND" -- works like a real filter - filters a single colour out of the compound color
TMP 2 = "OR" -- adds its own colour to PHOT
TMP 3 = "subtract colour" -- removes its own colour from PHOT
TMP 4 = "red shift" -- adds a red component to the colour, turning white into yellow and blue into pink-ish
TMP 5 = "blue shift" -- adds a blue component to the colour, turning white blue-ish and red pink-ish
    TMP 6 = "no effect" -- literally
TMP 7 = "XOR" -- omg how does this work
TMP 8 = "NOT" -- Inverts the colour
TMP 9 = "old QRTZ scattering" -- something old QRTZ did obviously

Alright, I know this is a 2 year old post now, but this has been nagging me for ages, since I honestly can't remember if there has ever been a point where the CTYPE would actually say the colour or not, I'm guessing if it ever was that way it was a looong time ago now, but I swear I remember a version where it would say 'RED' or 'BLUE' or something.. or is this just something I've conjured up in my mind? Don't worry how long ago it was, I was here when we transitioned from not even having different element tabs and just having all the elements at the botton in 2 rows.. ah good times..

The ctype thing for photons has been updated at least 2 times then as far as I know.
If I remember correctly, the coloured metre shown when hovering over photons used to not be there.

I had no idea that what @boxmein said was there the whole time, apparently it's still there, so I might just give it a try.
