can't enter password into terminal

i have encountered a problem just now after trying to download the latest version where i did what it told me to do in terminal (copy where the file is and type in sudo sp...) and when it came up asking for my password, when i type it doesn't come up, and when i press enter it just says "wrong try again" and i try and try and it just doesn't work. someone help please!

what after you do the sudo cp thing?

Firstly, you don't actually need to do anything with terminal. With my MacBook I just downloaded the app and clicked on it and it runs fine :D

with mine it says:
"you cannot use this version of the application powder with this version of mac osx"
i do have version 10.5.8 leopard macbook 2007 -
Hmm maybe it only runs with snow leopard? If you want to upgrade to snow leopard I have the disc, maybe I'll try to upload it somewhere for you?

Umm if you back up using time machine you can restore it so you get all of your programs and files back :D I'm pretty sure that the file is quite big but I'll post the size up when I put it on the pirate bay :D I'll call the file OSX-SnowLeopard-J I'll put the j at the end so you know it's the right one :D I'll have a go at uploading today :D
