This thread will be like Schneumer's Suggestions, but so it doesn't get crowded there, this will be for simple things to be added to TPT.
Back Button
When you get into conversations, there isn't a back button, so you have to click conversations again.
Yeah, it's easy, but still.....
(I did say this was going to be a simple thread.)
Subscriptions
Maybe we could make a subscription button, like say someone wanted to sub to kikinicij. No offense, but it is kind of a confusing username, and then you have to search on the forums to find him. With a sub button, it would basically just have an extra button next to favorites called "Subscriptions", and it will inform you when he ever updates or makes a new save.
Yeah, you might get trolled by bumps of saves, but still I don't think there is a very high chance of that happening.
What is the second thing?
Hm....interesting. But it is pretty much the same as the by date in the game, right?
Also, maybe people could count there subs.....it they have a high amount they will be happy and a low.....oh well. Then maybe you need to up your game! ;)
sounds good all the way, but no doubt there will be a few people who make threads like. "i am awsom bt i hve no subscribers i will suiside" or "AWWW YEAHHH I HAVE 38247328683652873562 subscribers #YOLO" or some other random thread.
Wait what?
Anyways.....
What if some countries computers don't? Although if they don't, they probably don't have computers at all....
It's just quicker. By a few centiseconds (<word?) ;)
What do you mean?Any person with Internet access and any computer can access that website. And all most web browsers support that format.
he mean something that does not istantly forget what page you were on when you went forward and then came back. (if that makes sense)
no I don't, but that is also a good point. Thanks.
That was just in case........ ;)
I do enjoy the idea about getting subs. The back button? I have one on my mouse, and I am never using another mouse ever again.
The subs could work like how you described them. You wonder if it would be possible to make it so that only NEW saves can be shown to subscribers.
There is a few flaws here: it will make tpt like youtube. It will make some people EXTREMELY famous, while others are just thrown into the corner and forced to watch them in their glory. New users are going to be like: "wt heeel? I cant get subscribers! I dont liek this game anymo." It may also discourage new users from making saves.
Having subs could also possibly turn a lot of attention away from the FrontPage. The FrontPage is how most people become famous now. Having subs is gonnna make it be like: "Hey, dawg. Did you see that one guys new save yet?" "No, I was about to see the FPs." "Bork the FPs, this guy's saves are way better than those." "Ok, cool!" I know thats not exactly what they will be saying, but you get the picture.
Subs could allso possibly ruin tpt. Im not saying its likely. A butt-ton of ppl could subscribe to one guy, and then he stops playing. All of his subs are like: "PORQUE??? Why did [Insert name here] have to quit? I love his saves, but no one else's!!!" It could turn some people away from the game.
My last statement is this (sorry for running on): There is a certain aspect about tpt that may be taken away by this. That is the fact that with the way tpt is now, people eventually get bored. That boredom usually leads to some bored person making a save that completely blows everyone's minds. Subs could make it so that people arent being bored and looking through the saves of the one(s) they are subscribed to. No boredom, no super awesome sleeperhit saves.
Im not saying its a generally bad idea. There are also a lot of positives to this. These are just the negatives that pooped into my mind first.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it also acts like upvotes and downvotes....But to be honest......fp sometimes has crappy stuff, and if that happens that is kind of a good thing. Also, because of that subbing to someone unpopular with good saves might get them fp.
Also there is a moral here, dont give up, but yeah......but if they go and quit because of that, we don't really need them in our community, right?
Like when you lose a friend cause that friend doesn't like you anymore, you are stupid to chase them as at this point they are a crappy friend (In the perspective of the scrapped one), and you probably don't want them back. Although this does not apply to fixed circumstances like moving to somewhere else, or to people who are crappy, and the friends leave them.
And I've seen saves, or boredom, they kind of suck. Well, from my experience. Boredom really leads to quitting tpt "logically", and the chances are pretty low anyways. Boredom just leaves time for thinking more, so your statement makes sense.
