Ok so i compiled.

    I just complied tpt++ using Visual Studios.. but now how do I make a mod? is there anything i need to do before this other then compiling?

    Well if you successfully compiled with Visual Studio it means your environment is nice and ready for modifying the source code, so have a go at it.
