Group Threads

I noticed that the AEC thread on gen was locked, and that kinda got me worried. I am wondering if it isn't ok to have Group Threads. A few moderators have told me it is the only way to get your group out there, seeing as the Group section of the website is kinda broken....

I don't really care if you make group threads, but they are against the rules. (The spam rule, they are considered spam if not in the group section). The reason I don't care is because the groups section has no search feature, and is basically unusable. But you should try and use it as much as you can still, if anything just have the thread and / or save link to the group (I might add group link signs in the next version if I remember).
The group section is useable mostly, you just need a way for people to find things in it. Your thread may or may not get locked if you make one ... -
Would BMN be able to stay? Cuz its literally almost at the end, but not on the last page. The thread is the only way I know of atm to get my group out there, other than sending people messages.
