    'Just for the sake of it...' is not a reason. Sure a more precise zoom might be nicer but really? At least put some effort into it. Someone is going to have give up their free time after work to code this in if you ever want it. Or even better make a mod of the source yourself and ask for it to be implemented.

    when holding 'z', use the scrollwheel (if it works), or the '[' and ']' keys to change the zoom size.
