Compatibility mode

Many suggestions have been rejected because they would break old saves.

The most logic workaround would be a compatibility mode, which makes everything behave as it did at the set release.

The most logic workaround would be if players would think on how the suggestion will affect old saves that has a possibility of breaking it and finding a easy but simple way around it before suggestion any kind of crap*

In all terms of seriousness, people should just think if their suggestion will break old saves instead of having something like this. 6_9

a compatibility mode would be nice, I have one of them in my mod that is needed for compatibility (I think it's now unused because I only used it for powered pipe though).

I don't like when suggestions are rejected only for compatibility reasons either, because it can easily be changed. We already have a lot of compatibility with things like legacy heat mode, so a full compatibility mode would be easy

    I really support this.

I mean, just like potbelly said, we have so many saves and so many elements that one day any change will just break saves.

Better to put this in now when its nice and easy then another 80 versions down the road.

this would be quite logical to have, as stated previously any update can and probably will break things.
