Question about Snow + Sand Effect

Why is it that when I place snow without sand effect, and heat it, it melts into water like normal, but when I heat snow that is placed with Sand Effect, I get a very interesting different result. Is this a bug, or is it meant to behave like this?

Sand effect adds a random color shade via decorations. Disabling decorations disables the sand effects.

Yes, but try heating it as Sand Effect rather than regular. Strange effect.

Idk if it's a bug or not, but if you color water or ice/snow red, the steam/water will be red. So due to the random coloring of Sand effect, the steam and water are colored white/ice-blue. Still, very cool effect!

This is a bug I plan to eventually fix, it's just that the deco makes it look like it never melted, but really it did

The deco is not see through using alpha, it's a solid color based off what the powder looks like. It really should just go away when melted, I might make it use low-alpha valued deco instead though.

The water vapor looks really cool when that happens...
