A few years ago, there was the first downloadable tpt, it was on www.powder.unaligned.org. It only had one section of elements and walls. It only had one version, and no updates. It was made before simon took over. I think simon took over when powder.unaligned crashed. It crashed sometime last year. I thought powder was over, but then i found this site. I don't know much about this site's history. Before the original downloadable tpt on powder.unaligned.org, there was the powder toy on dan ball: http://dan-ball.jp/en/javagame/dust/ Before that, there was a game called "falling sand" that tpt was based on: http://fallingsandgame.com/sand/ And before that, pretty much nothing to do with tpt.
In order from start to now: Falling Sand Powder Toy - Dan Ball Powder Toy - powder.unaligned Powder Toy - Current
This is everything I know. I dont have a lot of dates, but tpt has been around for at least 5 or 6 years. I don't know much about the history after powder.unaligned crashed, because it was just like 6 months ago that i found out that there was a new tpt here. You can probably ask simon or a moderator or a developer for info past that point. I really hope this helps. Also, it's awesome that your collecting tpt's history. Thx
well ima refuge ( lol) from the falling sand forums were i would download and play several mods! but one day i found the original powder toy I WAS AMAZED but the few elements kind of wore off but i decided to start a thread about it on the forums of falling sands but a user their called catelite ( i think hes on this forum too so thanx a bunch) said ------>
Work has started on the program, anew. The original had no such elements, in fact. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ actual message after seeing my thread. i went to this only to be in AWE at the elements such as photons uranium diamond etc. so then at the time i made an account and saw the old sugestions section of the site ( the one that you could vote on ideas) so i voted and when it left i started on the forum
Dan ball already had a tpt before falling sand came out, but it wasn't actually called tpt until after falling sand came out. And falling sand is considered the original tpt, due to the fact that tpt was based on it. And your partially right about unaligned; It was originally based on falling sand, dan ball's version became popular later. Unaligned was the original downloadable tpt. It crashed, and after that, some guy posted the binaries on geeks3d.com. Then another person made this site based on that. I am not sure if simon was that person who made this site, or just took over. I dont know much after unaligned crashed, but i am positive about the other things before it. I hope this helps.
