How Do You Do Those Long Tags?

I've noticed alot of saves with tags like, for example, 'very-nice-i-like-it' or something. But when I try it, it wont let me use the -. How do people do longer than usual tags / use the dashes?

The older tagging system allowed for spaces and other random characters, it would just replace them with "-". They were longer back then too. But they were used as comments, not tags, so I am glad they were changed. -

when the tag is too long, the characters come out of the box of the tags, so try not to make a long tag
