How to use ID?

When you open a simulation, at the botton, you have the button "Save ID: xxxxxx"
For what should i use this thing? Where i place it?

If you put ID: and then the ID number on the search bar, it comes up with the save.
For instance the ID number of one of my saves is 912741
If I then put ID:912741 on the search bar it would come up my save.
